I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, several years after moving to Israel from upstate New York. I later returned to the US for my doctoral degree in clinical psychology, which I obtained at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco - a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association. I am registered as a psychologist in California and hold the Israeli clinical psychology license, issued by the Health Ministry.

I have practiced professional psychology in a variety of settings, including an outpatient clinic, geriatric clinic, university counseling center, acute psychiatric care facility and an occupational rehabilitation center for people suffering from mental health problems and addictions. At present, I am in charge of the psychological services at the medical rehabilitation center Ganim in Gedera. I teach in a psychotherapy program at Reidman College and at the Maagalim Psychotherapy Institute in Tel Aviv.
